Director, Data Services & Insights (Life Sciences)

Job Description

Director One, we are seeking a Seasoned individual with deep, established delivery experience in life sciences data and analytics. This role will be accountable for end-to-end implementation, ongoing client support, and driving innovation across data platforms, MDM, analytics, and business intelligence.

As a Data Services and Insights Lead, you will oversee solution
delivery, ensure operational excellence, and provide thought leadership to advance our Data Services & Insights (DSI) practice.

You will guide technical and delivery teams, partner with global clients, and spearhead new solution offerings that enable life sciences organizations to unlock the value of their data.

Responsibilities

Implementation & Delivery lead the design, implementation, and delivery of DWH, MDM, BI, and Commercial Analytics
solutions for global life sciences clients.

• Ensure high-quality execution of projects across multiple client engagements, meeting timelines, quality standards, and profitability objectives.
• Oversee technical solutioning, data pipelines, analytics models, dashboards, reports, and governance workflows.

Ongoing Client Support & Operations

• Establish strong post-implementation support frameworks ensuring platform stability, scalability, and performance.
• Drive continuous monitoring, troubleshooting, and enhancement of client solutions.
• Manage SLAs, incident resolution, and proactive issue management. Innovation & Practice Growth
• Identify opportunities for solution innovation leveraging AI/ML, cloud- native data platforms, and automation.
• Define and standardize methodologies, reusable assets, and accelerators for repeatable success.
• Serve as a thought leader in life sciences data—advising clients on emerging technologies, best practices, and modern architectures.

Team & Resource Leadership

• Lead and mentor cross-functional offshore teams, including data engineers, developers, QA, and analysts.
• Foster a culture of knowledge sharing, upskilling, and performance excellence.
• Guide resource planning, allocation, and utilization across engagements.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as the senior delivery partner for client leadership, ensuring transparent communication and trust.
• Collaborate with onshore SMEs and stakeholders to capture requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
• Manage governance forums, provide risk and status reporting, and ensure alignment across business and IT teams.

Operational & Financial Excellence

• Manage project budgets, profitability, and resource efficiency across all engagements.
• Implement delivery best practices, automation, and process improvements to optimize costs and outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and quality standards (HIPAA, GDPR, GxP).

Qualifications:

Must have 15+ years of experience delivering Data & Analytics solutions, with at least 5+ years in leadership roles overseeing offshore teams.

• Deep expertise in Life Sciences data domains (sales, claims, Rx, roster, territory, CRM, affiliations, MDM).
• Proven track record in Data Warehousing, MDM, BI tools (Power BI, Tableau), and Commercial Analytics.
• Hands-on knowledge of Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, Vertex AI, Salesforce Data Cloud, SQL, and Python.
• Strong understanding of data governance, QA/testing best practices, and compliance (HIPAA, GDPR).
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, global stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Nice to Have

• PMP or equivalent certification.
• Certifications in cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, Snowflake) or BI solutions.
